A “geode” is a naturally occurring rock containing a hollow cavity lined with crystals. Their contents are unknown until broken open to reveal their inner beauty. These unusual formations can take millions of years to grow, and result in stunning, crystalized structures of saturated color. I mimic these wonderful oddities of nature in my geode artwork in which I find new places where geodes and light can captivate the senses.
